Drug Abuse Treatment Outcome Studies (DATOS)

The National Drug Abuse Treatment Outcome Studies (DATOS) is a 5-year collaborative research project funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). It brings together teams of scientists from NIDA, the University of California at Los Angeles Drug Abuse Research Center (DARC), the NDRI Institute for Community-Based Research at North Carolina, and the Institute of Behavioral Research at Texas Christian University to explore complementary research themes, including issues of health services research, treatment processes, retention and engagement of patients in treatment, and the life course of treated addicts.
